Bluenose was a Canadian fishing and racing schooner from Nova Scotia built in 1921. She was later commemorated by a replica Bluenose II built in 1963. A celebrated racing ship and hard-working fishing vessel, Bluenose became a provincial icon for Nova Scotia and an important Canadian symbol in the 1930s. The kit is not too complicated and would suit the patient beginner to model ship building.
This intermediate kit would be suitable for anyone who has previous model building experience.
The kid features hand sewn main, top, stay and fore sails. All-wood construction features plywood and boxwood. Brass hardware, such as blocks, eyebolts, fore-sheet bars, pinrack, set of thread and much more are included. A plank on frame construction.. All sheet ply sections are laser cut.
